Just an update!

I finally have a minute where I am too brain-dead to do any more hw or studying, but can't just sit around and do nothing! (Yes, it's a sickness...but the first step to overcoming is admitting I have a problem!)
School started and is already going at full speed! Sometimes I feel like I'm in a car heading to a really large cliff and I just want to slam on the brakes before I get too far and fall. Or like I'm walking through mud and it gets deeper and wetter with each step, and I keep going, even though I want to back up so I'm not too far in that I can never go back. That's what school sometimes feels like! School is good and fun, but it's starting to get crazy with first tests looming around the corner, which is then going to start the cycle of a test at least every week! Oh well. I really do enjoy school. I'm excited about what I am learning this semester! I'm in my ICU/Psych semester. I have already learned so much! It's really cool finally connecting everything I have learned the past two years together! It all is starting to make sense. I really enjoy my clinical rotations in the ICU. I truly am learning the Healer's Art.
Zac is also enjoying school. He has a ton of science classes so he's busy, but he's loving it! He's working, doing research in an infant development lab on campus, and volunteering in the ER at UVRMC. He's a busy, busy boy! But he's loving what he's doing and learning. I'm proud of him and all his life goals. I am also so impressed by how calm he remains, even among the stresses of school. :) What an example to me!
My pregnancy is still going well. My morning sickness is basically gone! I keep telling people it's "all the way gone" and then I throw up the next morning! ha ha. I feel SO much better though. I'm in my 16th week so we're moving right along. The baby is growing and has a strong, steady heartbeat! Lots of people have been asking for belly pictures and sadly I don't have any! My midwife told me that even though my uterus and the baby will double in size in the next month, I still probably won't show very much. My stomach muscles are too tight, she said. What a compliment! But, I really want to start looking more pregnant so I'm feeling pregnant! ha ha So sorry to everybody! I'll get the pictures up as soon as there's something actually there! We'll find out the gender next month. We're both so excited!

  1. You guys are fantastic. :-) I'm glad that you're feeling better and that Zac's still calm through everything. I'm excited to find out the gender of my niece/nephew (I think nephew). I love you guys!!

  2. What a busy life! I am glad you are feeling better because nothing adds to stress more than feeling horrible. Hey ask Zac if he has met Dr. Brian Hyer at the ER. He is an old friend from the U. I hope all your tests go well! See you soon.
